Our method,
between quality and
innovation
We create fabrics that last over time using the best natural fibres.
And with passion and effort, we test new innovative techniques to reach new levels of excellence
Jacquard weaving,
the art of weaving
The story of the Tessitura Artistica Chierese is linked to the jacquard weaving tradition: since 1954, we use this refined technique to realize a rich collection of items, from household linen to fabrics by meter, from ready-to-stitch accessories to the weaving of illustrations, artistic productions and valuable merchandising for museums and design shops.

Born in 1806 from a brilliant intuition by the Frenchman Joseph-Marie Jacquard, this type of weavig allows to create fantasies of all kinds, also very complex, that are integral part of the fabric itself: the drawing is in fact generated by the interweaving of the wrap, the set of wires arranged vertically, and of the texture, the wire that horizontally crosses the wrap forming the actual design.
With his decors, beautiful to the sight and touch, the jacquard tissue turns out more elegant, consistent and resistant compared to printed or embroidered.

Our quality choices
The products by Tessitura Artistica Chierese are designed, drawn and weaved inside our company in Chieri. A procedure that allows us to create high quality fabrics, subjected to thorough checks througout the production and treated in every detail.
In addition to weaving in our factory, also the dyeing and the finishing operations of the yarns are realized in Italy in compliance with environmental laws and worker protection.
Therefore we are proud to be able to distinguish us as a true example of Made in Italy Company.

We choose and use exclusvely combed twisted cottons, linen and hemp long linden, natural fibers with high strenght and flexibility.
For the coloring of our yarns, are used the best tinctures Indanthrene (IDH), particularly resistent to bleach and light. Moreover, most of our yarns are subjected to mercerization, a treatment that allows to obtain more intense, bright and durable colors.

A future of innovation:
the RGB patent
The passion for our job has always pushed us to study and to experiment innovative solutions to meet our costumers’ requests.
Thanks to that modus operandi, halfway between art and science, in 2020 we were able to obtain the patent for the invention of jacquard weaving technique with mixing of primary colours additives (RGB).
The invention named Rainbow Jacquard consists in combining textures with primary colours additives (red, green and blue) with wrap threads of black or very dark colour, obtaining a wide range of tonality and shades able to reproduce any kind of decoration.
We try, we make mistakes, we try again and in the end
with determination and a touch of creative "madness", we reach the goal.
